As is often the case in life, it all starts with an encounter. During my training in the hive of Miel Citron <\/a>(don't hesitate to pay them a visit, it's another part of my life, always in contact with you, discovering your stories and sharing knowledge), I met Jelena who explained the main principles of BBB to me, very gently, as she usually does. Created by Elisabeth Grimaud, Beau Bien Bon (or BBB to those in the know) is a way of becoming aware, a way of looking at things, an attitude to integrate into your life to naturally bring well-being, serenity and fun. When the book was released on 8 February, I decided to dive in to understand the essence of the approach and form my own opinion. To summarise, here are the 5 reasons to discover BBB.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beau Bien Bon has a vision of happiness that includes others<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In many trends or techniques, to feel good, we are told to take care of ourselves, to protect ourselves, to live in the moment in order to detach ourselves from the stress of our own thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In BBB, we come back to this too: stimulating the senses to marvel at what surrounds us (this is Beauty), doing things consciously so as to no longer live on autopilot (this is Goodness).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what I particularly liked was theinclusion of relationships as a source of happiness,<\/strong>because that is exactly how I instinctively feel, and it is the reason for my professional vocation<\/strong>. Sharing, exchanging, giving: that is the third dimension of happiness, the third B: the Good. Feeling useful, loving and being loved, and continuing to learn are all essential to feeling happy, yet they are often put to one side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The good is concrete and documented<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In many books on personal development, the author talks about situations, about \u2018concrete cases\u2019 whose veracity cannot be verified... we are sold a dream. I have already felt oppressed or even attacked by the persuasion techniques used in some books. Here, I really liked the way in which the theories are supported:<\/strong> by the bibliography, the history of the theories, the scientific studies (referenced!), all with an analytical and synthetic mind <\/strong>that is very pleasant to read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beau Bien Bon is a quick read<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A documented book, dealing precisely with neuroscience, linguistics and philosophy, can be scary. It is necessary to work a lot on the rhythm and style so as not to become soporific or incomprehensible. Here, no jargon, it speaks truth<\/strong>. It is also a great demonstration of honesty for me: Elisabeth does not hide behind theories or complicated words but makes her knowledge and her study accessible...and fun!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By alternating theory, practice and tests, the book can be savoured at the rhythm of its introspection or else devoured in a few hours. For my part, it took me a fortnight to read the first third because I took the time to reflect and digest the content, then, one Saturday afternoon, I devoured the rest!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
