Wedding Celebrant

100% English ceremony in the wine cellars.

Larina and Ross live in Hong Kong. They have lived in England, where Ross is from, and in France during their studies. For them, a wedding is an opportunity to bring all their loved ones together in a place that is both prestigious and romantic, on an extraordinary and unforgettable journey. They therefore chose to get married in France, at the Château Pape Clément, where France brings together its most beautiful treasures: its landscapes, its gastronomy, its savoir-faire, its wine. They therefore called on me for a personalised wedding ceremony, in English of course, but with my Frenchy touch 😉.

Initially, we were going to hold the ceremony in the park, but it started raining (and yes, the vines have to be watered from time to time) so we opted for a ceremony in the wine storehouse. And the least we can say is that this ‘backup’ solution was breathtaking, with its corridors of barrels and intimate setting.

Some highlights:

  • The arrival of the guests and their discovery of the setting for the ceremony: the guests arrived in small groups because of the rain. They were impressed by the venue and its decoration.
  • The exchange of vows was very moving: the bride and groom were surprised by their emotions.
  • The groom's first sight of the bride: after the exchange of rings, the groom lifts the bride's veil to kiss her. The look exchanged by the bride and groom was worth 1000 words.
  • The bride and groom leave under the sun to the strains of Pachelbel's Canon. The weather cleared up during the ceremony, and there was only a shower of rose petals 🙂.

The service providers who accompanied me at this ceremony:

I would like to thank the bride and groom, Larina and Ross, from the bottom of my heart for their kindness and gentleness. It was a wonderful encounter from the other side of the world and I am lucky to have been contacted by this lovely couple.
