A few weeks ago, just before celebrating spring, we got together with wedding service providers to organise a magnificent boho-chic wedding photo shoot, with a touch of hipster, in the heart of the vineyards. I will soon be describing the work carried out for the entire wedding, but I have chosen to present the secular ceremony to you first <3
How do you create a boho chic atmosphere at a secular ceremony?
The Domaine de Fombrauge is in the heart of the Saint Emilion Vineyards. At the end of winter, the vines have no leaves yet and yet the setting is very bucolic. It is clear that the estate has many facets, with varied colours depending on the season. And it makes you want to come back 🙂
For the decoration of the ceremony, Le Grenier de mon coeur created a cosy and colourful atmosphere: :
- A woven, floral panel as an archway
- A vintage table on wheels
- An aisle of colourful carpets
Lucie Carré had worked on the coherence of the women's outfits with vintage and chic outfits, with the bride wearing fine lace, and very fine jewellery by D'Estey. The make-up and hairstyles remain in the hipster theme, notably with this beautiful chignon hairstyle with a braid placed in a headband: the hair too becomes jewellery! [You can find all the addresses of this great team at the end of the article]

A secular ceremony focused on sharing and good humour
Choosing to unite in a ceremony means bringing your personality and values to your wedding.
Here, we made it a real moment of sharing with a very collaborative vision. Witnesses who took the floor and delivered a message full of humour, a guest who offered a song as a testimonial.

To materialise the union, I thought of a participative and personalised ritual: the cork stopper ritual. As we are in Saint Emilion, I provided wine bottle stoppers and felt-tip pens for all the participants. When listening to a song chosen by the couple, each person writes a short message on the cork, conveying their thoughts and energy for the couple, and finally places their cork in a large vase. A wonderful souvenir for the bride and groom to keep at home!

Exchange of vows and wedding ring
It's THE emotional moment of the ceremony. As the day began to wane, the light created a warm and more intimate atmosphere..
The rings are brought by a child of honour, the bride and groom give each other the rings after exchanging vows. I seal their union and declare them Husband and Wife to the cheers of their loved ones. It's a true moment, a unique moment.. [Can you tell I'm hooked?]

A joyful and colourful ceremony afterward
After a ceremony rich in emotions, the end is revealed to be just like the couple: joyful and colourful.
First of all, with music: the bride and groom cross the guard of honour formed by their guests to the sound of drumming which has been provided.
Then, the bride and groom and their witnesses lead the way to the party with the help of colourful fumigens. This entertainment makes a lasting impression, creates wonderful memories and sets the tone for the rest of the evening: let's get this festive evening underway!
