Inspiration: the winter elopement ceremony

This time, I’m sharing with you an inspiration shoot whose theme and atmosphere truly spoke to me: a winter elopement with a “Little Red Riding Hood” vibe. It was wedding planner Olivia Fuster who invited me to join her project and introduced me to her amazing team. A fully collaborative effort where everyone was able to leave their own mark.

The principle of the Elopment

As you might expect, the word "Elopement" comes from english and literally means "to elope". In the context of a wedding, it is a ‘romantic elopement’: the bride and groom decide to get married in complete privacy, alone or with only the witnesses. In this romantic escape, far from the pressures of the group and the family, the bride and groom are totally free to choose the where, when and how.

The "Winter Elopement" ceremony

Creating a ceremony that the bride and groom will experience as a couple, and only as a couple, is a special endeavour: the speech, the tone and the staging are necessarily very different from weddings with relatives.

Here, the idea is to recreate a cocoon, a moment suspended in time, where the couple find each other, discover one another, and reconnect.

To do this, I symbolised their union and their story through the tea ritual: a blend of leaves and flowers that is revealed over time, a moment of sharing and tasting. Poetry and intensity.

After vows in complete privacy, the alliances are exchanged with emotion and excitement:

At the end of the ceremony, the bride and groom enjoy each other's company: they are now husband and wife and realise this essential step in their lives, to the sound of their music. I step back and let them fully live this moment…

The "little red riding hood" touches

The photoshoot took place at the ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ in Miramont-de-Guyenne, and Olivia Fuster immediately thought of creating a special atmosphere that was at once gourmet, sensual and rustic. This is reflected in the invitations and the table setting for example:

Personally, I loved the bouquet, which was created like a little basket of Little Red Riding Hood:

And then, you can see magnificent shots of the bride and groom in the woods (I've already told you how much I love ceremonies in the woods <3)
